Purpose:

The purpose of this document is to guide you on how to use the Self-Service page to activate, change, or reset your account. Currently we use this account to access the STARS Unique ID (UID) System, Data Validation Dashboard and the Nova Snapshot Management Dashboard.

You Can ONLY Activate your Account, and Change or Reset your Password on this Self-Service Page (https://zis.ped.state.nm.us/xdADSelfService_Cloud/Default.aspx). Only after you have completed the First Time User Registration, can you Login to your account for the first time using the link for the SSO Application Launcher


Account Set up:

WHOM to contact:

You will contact your District’s/Charter’s Nova Coordinator or Superintendent to request access. They will need to submit a Nova Authorization Form requesting your access. Information required in order for us to create your account:

  • 9-Digit Staff Unique ID (This is used to create your account)

  • ***Note: We are Physically Unable to Create Your Account Without This ID

  • Email Address (Alternate Username to log into Application Launcher)

  • Level of Access (User or District Manager)

  • Proper Completion of Form (Missing or Incorrect info can lead to Delays or even No Access)




Section 1:

Account Activation Guidance:

Step 1: 

Go to Self Service URL: https://zis.ped.state.nm.us/xdADSelfService_Cloud/Default.aspx

Step 2: 

Once the page loads, you will click the Continue Button under First Time User Registration.

Step 3:

Enter the info provided in the Approval Email with the subject NOVA Access Approvals - SSO System - District Name. The ID field will be the 9-Digit ID provided, not your email.



Step 4:

You will then agree to the User Policy. You may click the link in the form to read all the details. 

Step 5: 

Select a security question in case you need to reset your password in the future.

Step 6:

Enter an email to receive the verification code. This is used in case you need to reset your password in the future.

Step 7:

After you enter your email, you will need to retrieve your verification code. You can copy and paste your Verification Code to continue. This verification code is used to verify you are the owner of the account.

 

Step 8:

After the verification process, you will be able to set your password. Please remember the requirement to set a password.

Step 9:

Please be sure you are not sharing your screen or that people are not looking at your screen after submitting. The screen below will confirm that you have activated your account and show what you have set your information to. If you need to, now would be the time to write down your password. You will be logged out after 60 seconds.

Step 10:

Once activated, you can close this website. We will need to login to the SSO Application Launcher using the link below.  https://zis.ped.state.nm.us/SSOAuthenticator/HostLogin. For more guidance on the SSO Application Launcher, please see the SSO Application Launcher Guidance Document.

Section 2:

Account Reset/Forgot Password Guidance:


Step 1: 

Go to Self Service URL https://zis.ped.state.nm.us/xdADSelfService_Cloud/Default.aspx)


Step 2: 

Once the page loads, you will click the “Help, I forgot my password” Button.

Step 3:

You will then click the Reset Password Button.

Step 4:

Enter the information into the form. You will need to know your Unique ID. If you do not know your Unique ID, please contact someone at your district who has access to the Unique ID System. The Username field is your Unique ID not your email or any other username. 

Step 5:

Check your email for the verification code that was sent to you and enter it in the screen below.

Step 6:

Please enter the answer to your Security Question.

 


Step 7:

You will be able to set your new password. Please remember the requirement to set a password. Once you have selected a new Password, please note it down somewhere in case you forget it.







Section 3:

Account Change Guidance:

Step 1:

Go to Self Service URL https://zis.ped.state.nm.us/xdADSelfService_Cloud/Default.aspx

Step 2: 

Once the page loads, you will enter your Log In information and click Log In. You must use your Unique ID as the username to login to this page.



Step 3:

After you have logged in it will have you verify you are the correct user. It will send an email to the email address you used to activate your account. You will need to login to your email and retrieve that Verification Code. Once you have it you will enter into the Verification code box.


Step 4:

You will now have only two options when you login to the Self Service Page.

  1. Change My Password – Use this to change your password. (See Step 5)

  2. Change My Questions – This allows you to change the security question to reset your password. (See Step 6)


Step 5:

Enter your Current Password and then Set New Password. Please remember password requirements. 

Step 6:

You can select a new Security question and answer here.
